By now I hope you’ve read my post ‘Early Holiday Preparation‘ in order to get yourself ahead of the game for the Christmas season. As another resource for the holidays, I wanted to create a gift guide for my readers encompassing a list of products that I use and recommend.
You can use this list to purchase things for the people in your life who need or want organizational tools, smart travel products, cool gadgets and more!
**The items posted below are from affiliate links. I get a small commission for any purchases generated from my links. However, you can rest assured that I would never recommend an item that I did not have personal experience with or own myself.**
Organizational Gifts
Books
With the exception of the Swedish Death Cleaning book, I have read all of these titles and recommend them to anyone looking for some order in their lives. Whether it be by organizing physical objects, your household duties or your life, these books have practical tips and tricks to help you. You can read a bit more about the main points of each book before you purchase in my posts ‘5 Books to Kickstart Your Organizational Journey’ and ‘Decluttering Methods to Use for Your Entire Home.’
‘The Magical Art of Tidying Up’ by Marie Kondo
‘Outer Order, Inner Calm’ by Gretchen Rubin
‘How to Keep House While Drowning’ by K.C. Davis, LPC
‘Organizing Plain & Simple’ by Donna Smallin
‘The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning’ by Margareta Magnusson
Photos & Documents
It’s a snap to organize photos physically or digitally as long as you have the right tools.
Upload images straight from your phone to the Skylight Digital Picture frame. As a bonus, anyone with the app can upload photos to your frame. This makes a great gift for grandparents. You can surprise them with new photos of the grandkids at any time.
As for physical prints, I use the photo book below. It would make a great gift on its own, but even better if you filled it with special snaps from the year.

Need a practical gift for someone looking to control paper clutter? This locking file box keeps documents safe in the event of flood or fire.

There are so many storage products on the market. Finding one that’s right for you is essential for maximizing space. The items below are some of my favorites that could work as a gift for anyone that wants to get organized–in their closet, in their kitchen and in their life!
Closet
You can offer to help clean out your friend or family member’s closet and fill the large rope basket below with a mix of the suggested items and throw in one of the organizational books from above as well.
Kitchen
The items below make great gifts for the aspiring meal prepper. Glass containers make storing food easy. The veggie chopper cuts down on prep time. The lunchbox can be frozen to keep your sandwiches cold all day. The Instant Pot is a must-have kitchen tool for anyone, but it comes in especially handy when prepping meals for the week. Both the Thermos and the portable lunch Crock Pot are great for keeping your food hot.

Travel Products
Packing experts agree…the best way to pack more efficiently is to use packing cubes. Not only are they space saving, but they make packing a breeze. You can separate clothing in cubes by type of clothing, by family member or any other way you see fit. Gift your favorite traveler a set and they’ll be sure to thank you!
This travel steamer is small and portable for travel. I take one with me on all of my vacations. I even use it at home in place of my iron.
These belt bags are all the rage right now. Having one with RFID blocking is especially important when travelling.
This hanging toiletry bag has tons of space for makeup, shampoo, conditioner and any other personal care products you would want to bring on vacation. This is the bag I personally use for my trips. It comes in a bunch of different colors and would make a great gift.
Miscellaneous Items
The items in this section are things that I own and recommend. They don’t fit into the categories above but could be nice gifts for the right person. Consider your gift recipient well when choosing a gift. Not everyone would appreciate receiving a vacuum cleaner for Christmas! I think I’m one on a very short list of people that would like that gift, but I’ll add it anyway in case you need a new one!
The first item on this list is a good choice for family game night. It is an update on the classic Pictionary. With the included light pen and smartphone app, you can draw in the air and cast your drawings to the TV.
This is my favorite vacuum. It’s cost effective, lightweight, easy to clean with a long cord, HEPA filter and many attachments. I use this in my cleaning business and my home. Search around for a good deal on this vacuum. They go on sale often; the link below may not have the best price.
If you’ve read ‘Fair Play’ and you and your partner are ready to move to the next step, this deck is for you! This adaptable card deck will help you distribute the tasks required to keep a happy & functioning household. The book and the deck would make a great gift for anyone who is looking to more equitably rebalance the workload in their relationship.
If you’re looking for home security, check out this Arlo wireless video doorbell. It links to the app and runs off of rechargeable batteries, so no need to worry about wiring. The link below will give you 15% off your purchase. My family uses the wireless Arlo cameras for our outdoor security at home. That is another option to use on its own or in conjunction with the doorbell.

If you know someone who likes to have a quick and hearty breakfast, consider this breakfast sandwich maker. I use this every morning to make my breakfast. It’s easy to use, easy to clean and cooks your sandwich in under 5 minutes.

This set of three journals are great for friends, neighbors, teachers, etc. Pair one with a cute pen and a gift card to a coffee shop and you have a sweet little gift suitable for anyone.
Speaking of cute pens…here’s a 20 pack of fancy rose gold diamond-topped pens to add sparkle to any gift!
I got this game for our family to play last Christmas. It’s a twist on conventional conversation cards. The cards definitely spark conversation, but in a fun way that turns it into a game. I bring the game along with us on long car rides and bust it out at family dinners. The whole family loves playing, and we learn about each other in the process.
These mugs are so fancy! I would love to drink my coffee or tea out of them. Pair them with a gourmet coffee, specialty tea or hot cocoa mix for a quick holiday gift.
After you’ve read ‘Fair Play’ and each member of the household is doing their share, it’s on to reclaiming some time to invest in yourself and your creative pursuits. This book is the manual for finding out what you love to do and then carving out time to do it.
OK, there you have it! A bunch of random Neatest Nest approved gifts for this holiday season! Post any comments or questions below. Be sure to check out my Free Printables page where you can find a list of fun Christmas Traditions to make your holiday memorable and fun!
